Planning is Everything

Just discovered Hodmandod Senior's 'detailed plans' on the dining room table...

...for insulating the floor of my writing den.

It's very sweet. (I am, of course, assuming that he isn't a professional tradesman.) This is so much better at communicating "I love you" than a greeting card would be.

I need to do something like this to my floor, despite a family of left thumbs. Wood planks, iced wool, glue, ... Big ta.

Susan and CB: Yes, Hodmandod Senior is very sweet (and very long-suffering, poor man). He's not a tradesman, but he loves making things - so this shed project suits both of us. I'm going to post up each stage on this blog because I like seeing how things take shape.

Hi Merc - nice to see you here. And 'iced wool' sounds so much more poetic than 'eco rock' or whatever it's called.

S: Yes, I think a shed has definite potential for enhancement!

Hi Ali,I thought that floor in the kitchen was gorgeous. They made the place look bigger somehow, and would be welcome at our place anytime!

Yes it LOOKED gorgeous,I thought it was wonderful when I first walked in. but then realised how much of it was loose, not stuck down properly and such a bad fit, the lads must have really rushed it. Lyn called it a posh name but I cant remember what it was now. Anyway Jenny wants it re-doing!
