BAFAB winner
On the subject of Australians I am pleased to announce that Anne S is the winner of the first BAFAB contest because I identified very strongly with the central character of Lazy Robert. A copy of the magnificent book Riddley Walker will be transported to the other side of the planet shortly...

Congratulations to Anne S. When I read that one I though how spot on it was in its rendition of Strine, in particular the 'been' instead of 'being'.
Sorry for being so lame, but where can I read the entries?
Galaxy: yes, smacked a little of Kath and Kim I thought. I liked the story too.
Lee: It's here, on October 1st post.
Thanks Clare and Galaxy - it was fun to do.
So you have Kath & Kim in the UK these days? We've always wondered what other nations think of them. They represent a certain class of people in a certain suburb of Melbourne.
Quite spot on as a satire.
I love Kath and Kim!
