Storycode

Great excitement - my book 98 REASONS FOR BEING has actually been reviewed by a reader on Storycode(UK)/(US)

Alas, just ONE STAR which presumably means whoever read it would not recommend it to anyone. I had to search for some time for a book with a similarly low rating, eventually coming across an obscure book by one Chaucer, G. - an episodic type of novel about a disparate selection of people called CANTERBURY TALES. It will never catch on.

Hi Clare,

I've just come across your StoryCode posting, and as I'm the co-founder and research Director of StoryCode, I thought I'd drop you a note in response to your blog posting ...

So far, only one person has submitted an encoding for your book at StoryCode, so their opinion is bound to be subjective, based on their own experience of reading the book. The profile for 98 Reasons for Being will change as soon as more encodings are added. There is nothing to stop you coding your own novel ...

The percentage match scores show that your book does not strongly correlate to anything currently in the database, but this will change as more stories are added to StoryCode. This simply means that StoryCode sees your book as "original" with respect to the other books it knows about, which can hardly be a bad thing.

Do try coding something at StoryCode, and let us know how you get on, by writing to us at feedback@storycode.com.

Kind regards,

CHRIS NORRIS

You seem always charming and amusing about the pesky nips of book misfortune--and, I suppose, slide by better than most, taking your little snail shell of contentment with you. I hope so, anyway!
