Tonight Hodmandod Senior came back from Amsterdam like a Wise Man bearing Frankincense (of a sort)

that smelt of myrrh, and chocolates with both gold leaf

and leaves

stripes and waves

in a box so golden
it seemed to me that Midas
could have touched it
with his glimmering unfortunate thumb.

Have you read Carol Ann Duffy's poem: Mrs Midas??... in her "World and His Wife" collection..I have lent my copy to someone but I think that's the title.
I have indeed, Jan...wonderful stuff.
That looks like a bottle of Issey Miyake to me? Correct me, if I'm wrong, please. But how does it smell?
It's called Flower by Kenzo, CFR and it smells gorgeous - a combination of turkish delight and marshmallow but heavier...and not as sticky!
Adventures with a plot...
