Fifteenth Sunday Salon: Mr Pip

I'm reading Mr Pip by Lloyd Jones in readiness for reading group in about 10 days. It's a short book, which seems to be simply written so far ( I have not picked out one new word yet), but even so has managed to say a lot in the first 20 pages.

Much more later, I expect, after aerobics...

I hope you enjoy Mr Pip. I did! I read it last year as part of my Booker reading challenge (where I try to read all the longlisted titles). This was one of my favourites. I love the way it conveys the truth of the power of literature.

I'd love to do that! I read all the short-listed ones in 1995 as a treat to myself but some of those longlisted ones are excellent too. Yes, I agree about Mr. Pip - I'm loving it too.
