The First Edit
The first edit is finished. The book, alas, is just a little slimmer (a mere 20,000 words lost out of the original 199,000) but I think it's firming up...which is more than can be said for me.

Wow - some time away from the blogs and I come back to find you've finished a book! How thrilling. It sounds like you've wrestled the beast into better order - I remember you saying it was huge at one point!
