First Draft.
Tonight I have finished the first draft of my novel. It is 198, 806 words and 217 pages long.
The research was started sometime in 2008 and the writing of the novel begun on 17th March 2010.
Now I start on the redraft.

That’s impressive. I can’t get my head around these people who rattle off three or four books a year. That’s not what writing is to me. That said I can’t even imagine writing anything that long. My third novel is 90,000 words long and I think of it as an epic. (It’s not really an epic; 90% of the action takes place in a corner of a park.) I’m also not sure I could sit down and do all my research first and then write the book either but then I’m a pantser and never know what I’m going to need until I need it. Good title, Serving My Hungry Masters. Could be about anything but intriguing enough to get someone to pick up the book to read the blurb. That is unless the cover’s crap. But I guess it’ll be a while before you have to concern yourself with stuff like that.
Thanks Jim! Glad you like it.
Fabulous!! Congrats. can't wait to read the finished product.
Thanks Sue. You're very kind.
