Having whetted my appetite with Balti Britain, I am continuing to feed my interest on the Muslims in the UK with two more books by Ziaudden Sardar: What Do Muslims Believe? and Desperately Seeking Paradise.  Then,  just to take a look at things from the feminine angle, I intend to turn to Our Stories Our Lives edited by Wahida Shaffi.

It has proved to be fascinating stuff so far, and I am learning some unexpected things.

After visiting some foreign places over the last couple of years, it is surprising to find so much exotica on my doorstep.
