The End of Publishing?
I came back from the Society of Authors in Scotland Conference tonight (which was excellent) and just want to post this clever video which was shown to us by Rob McDevitt of Hachette Scotland.

That was brilliant! Coincidentally I'm writing from a literature and science conference, where I heard a fascinating talk yesterday evening by French philosopher Bernard Stiegler. The talk, called 'a pharmacology of the university" concerned reclaiming the attention of youths by refocusing universities back to ideas (as in Plato's Academy).
What and excellent idea, Paul! Do you think you'll do that yourself?
Perhaps in my own small way I try to encourage ideas. I met Stiegler yesterday, had a brief chat with him, and he seemed optimistic about the possibility of change.
Ah,of course, Paul, my apologies, of course some people (like yourself) do that already!
