Monkey Music.
Obsessed as I am with the book 'Monkey: Journey to the West', I decided to buy this album with the same name.
It is based on an opera of the same name written and directed by Chen Shi-Zheng, and composed by Damon Albarn, with visuals by Jamie Hewlett.
I am glad I decided to get the CD rather than download because the packaging is a small work of art in itself.
It unfolds like so
and then there is an insert
with some of the words.
The photographs don't do it justice.
