I liked Skippy Dies very much - great book, funny and outrageous and sad all at once. Here's wishing Paul Murray every success.
The Booker judges need to be shot. The Finkler Question is a far lesser book. In fact I found the winning book less than inspiring and intend to recycle my copy, as I don't think I'll ever feel like reading it again.

Thanks Anne, I've often heard that the Booker is often awarded for the 'wrong book' of a particular author - it's as if it is their turn to win.
I am becoming increasingly cynical about the whole awards business. So much seems to depend on other things besides just the book.
But, yes - Skippy Dies is great and very refreshing to see something that is truly deserving coming through.
