98 REDENEN OM TE ZIJN
I know this s a matter of taste - but I very much love this. It is the cover for 98 REASONS FOR BEING from my Dutch publisher (Ambos Anthos). Since the catalogue arrived this morning from my agent I have done virtually nothing except look at her.

Very groovy, Clare. Does the book reflect that melancholy on the girl's face?
Oh, she is very lovely, and, yes, so sad, just like Hannah through most of the book.
Lovely painting; a bit Gwen John with Germanic twist. Couldn't be a better choice.
Great pic, great cover Clare, I hope it does well for you!
I love the picture. Not sure what it means, but isn't that a lead in, in itself?
Great, just great cover! Makes me want to buy and read!
Best,
the crimeficreader...
Truly beautiful - I'd buy this book if I didn't have a copy of it already! Actually she looks a bit like you - have you noticed that?
Thanks so much for the comments.
Jason: what they called 'melancholia' is the main issue of the book -what could send someone plummeting down into that state Sylvia Plath so aptly described with the title of her book THE BELL JAR - where you no longer feel part of the world, as if you are insulated from it by thick glass. So I'm really glad you think the girl looks melancholic.
And yes, Crimeficreader it is a bit of a lead... I would hope.
Thanks Galaxy - glad you approve - you wrote such a good summary of the book - I think you are a very good judge.
Thanks Jan - yes I see what you mean - I have no idea who painted it, I'm going to try and find out.
Sarah - she looks a bit like me? Can't see it myself, but thank you very much anyway.
