Dr Grump Branches Out

I have been nagging my esteemed colleague, Dr Grump, to start her own blog for some time now, and today she rushed into our office in a state of great excitement.

'I've done it!' she said.
'Done what?'
'Gone back to Nature.'
I blinked. I had no idea that Dr Grump had interests in that area, although she has several times expressed a longing for an 'all-over tan.'
'No, not that sort of nature,' she said, 'Nature with a capital N. In fact two of them: Nature Network. They've let me have my own blog.'
'Why did you say 'back' then, have you been there before?'
'No, I just thought it funny.'
'You've got lipstick on your teeth.' I said.

You know, I thought this was funny when I first read it but when I checked the blog and realised you were Dr. Grump it became hysterical. The punch line is wonderful. I never took any form of science at school. Nor any languages. Mine was the last year you could get away with that.

My wife was an engineer for the best part of her working life so I leave all of that stuff to her. Personally I don't care why the sky is blue. I even saw a red moon once and wasn't interested in why. It looked cool and that was quite enough for me.

Thanks Jim.

I think there is a lot to be said for just accepting things are as they are.

Well done for launching this blog, Clare. Hope you can dig out some of those old Dr G posts for it, they are very funny.
