I bought this mug and lid when I went to the 'Last Emperor' exhibition in the British Museum last year - essential equipment for transporting one's tea to one's writing den, especially if one tends to drink rather a lot of the stuff.
I've been pining for one of those since seeing them at a friend's in Oxford! If you come across another one, I'll exchange it for a paperback copy of Mortal Ghost! Infact, that gives me an idea...

Handy for not spilling stuff, but it does sort of put me in mind of one of those beaker things kids use.
It reminds me of a rather nice antique chinese ginger jar I have, but it certainly looks the perfect receptacle of beverages for an outdoor shed.
That's a lovely mug you've got there, Clare!
I think you shoud treasure that because it's pretty rare!
that is gorgeous! and so mysterious with the dragons.
