Box City
I went to London
and saw, inside this city of boxes,
a city-in-a-box,
and then the remnants of another
unimaginably old.
And here, I came across another box
blown open
with plants instead of pillars
and inside another box
a box embossed - to deify Retail.
A feckless god, that one, subject to whims
and the vagaries of the tide.
